Single digital portal allows citizens to access goods and services from home or office. AI driven, it provides ease and speed in the process.

There was a sharp increase in the number of online services within six months. They increased from 501 to 614. There are many new services available to make your life easier. Some examples are smart signatures with one-click authentication, paperless prescriptions, and much more. Technology is increasingly being used to provide easy access to the government and civil offices through videoconferencing, temporary driving licences and kindergarten registrations are the main ones.

Citizen ID

Citizen ID services are helping to serve hundreds of thousands of people daily. From IDs issued by the State to IDs used in transactions between individuals. Citizens and businesses are able to save time and money on their life events. This new process has seen a good response from the community.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced at the Thessaloniki International Fair that gov.gr will soon have more than 1,000 electronic services available to them. In one solution, citizens can submit their data to the government in one place and be sure that it is in a safe location–good for protecting assets and security. Therefore, it is simpler, less cluttered and more user-friendly than other sites. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of State and Digital Governance, stresses that the state must function cohesively as a single entity.

Indicative data on the use of the main gov.gr services for the first six months:

  • gov.gr has received 6,105,671 total visits.
  • 105,671,671,671 declarations and 358,419 authorisations issued.
  • A total of 431,910 demographic and civil status certificates issued.
  • 556,235 citizens registered for paperless prescription and 3,788,421 paperless prescriptions issued.
  • 680 conferences held for remote service at the CCPs.
  • 83,967 kindergarten registrations processed electronically.
  • 85,030 temporary driving licences issued digitally.
  • 380,000 citizens have visited the Digital Citizens Academy.
