How to install Windows 10 from USB drive | Step-by-step guide
Installing a new operating system on your computer can be a daunting task, especially if you are not familiar with the process. However, with the right tools and a clear understanding of the steps involved, installing Windows 10 from a USB drive can be a relatively simple and straightforward process.

- Create a Windows 10 installation USB drive
Through the official Microsoft website download the Media Creation Tool. Open the Tool and select ‘Create installation media for another PC.’ Choose your language and edition of Windows 10. You then select the ‘USB flash drive’ option. The tool will download and create the installation media on the USB drive.
- Insert the USB drive and restart your computer
During the boot-up process, press the key that opens the Boot Menu (usually F12, F10 or Esc) to enter the boot options.
- Select the USB drive and start Windows Setup
Select the USB drive from the list of bootable devices and press Enter to start the Windows Setup. Select your language, time and currency format, and keyboard layout preferences.
- Begin the installation process
Click on the Install Now button to start the installation process. Accept the License Agreement and click Next. Choose Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) as the installation type.
- Select the partition to install Windows 10
If you don’t have a partition, you can create a new one by clicking New and following the on-screen instructions.
- Wait for the installation process to complete
This can take several minutes or longer, depending on your computer’s hardware specifications.
- Set up your Windows 10 installation
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Windows 10 installation, including creating a user account, setting up your preferences, and connecting to the internet. Once the setup process is complete, you are ready to use Windows 10.
