iOs 15.4 with features for COVID
Although iOS 15.3 was announced just a few days ago, Apple developers have released images of the iOS 15.4 beta program.
One of the new features that came 2 years later is the FaceID facial recognition feature using a mask. A feature that helps to protect the user’s health as they don’t have to take off their mask to be able to unlock their mobile phone and until recently only those who also had an Apple Watch could use it. This feature will only be available to users of the last two iPhone series, namely the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series.
Another key feature was an update to the Health app, which now includes a new “Symptoms” section that allows users to log their symptoms and see potential connections with COVID-19 exposure notifications. The app also features a new “COVID-19 Vaccination Record” section, where users can securely store their vaccination information and share it with healthcare providers.
In addition, iOS 15.4 also introduced updates to FaceTime, including the ability to share your screen during a call and the option to blur your background. The update also improved the ability to share audio with friends and family during FaceTime calls.
Lastly, the update introduced a new feature to help users manage their privacy, including the ability to control which apps have access to their local network and improvements to the on-device intelligence that helps detect and block unwanted tracking.
Overall, iOS 15.4 aimed to enhance user experience during the pandemic by improving communication, health tracking, privacy, and overall safety.
