The iBook line of laptops from Apple Inc. was manufactured and marketed between the years 1999 and 2006. They were entry level computers for common home and educational use. There was also a higher end line from the same manufacturer, the Apple PowerBook line.
During the production of the iBook series, there were three designs. The first one, the “Clamshell” draw inspiration by the iMac line itself at that time. The design, shape, colors, casing were all different. The next generations presented differences on features such as the chip, drive etc. They were called “Snow”, because of the pale white color, having abandoned all the bright colors.
