The Atari Stacy features a Motorola MC 68HC000 processor at 8 MHz and memory of 1MB. Equipped with a floppy disk of 3.5” and an HDD of 20MB or 40MB it run with the operating system of the TOS and GEM version.
The Atari ST line of computers succeeded the Atari 8-bit family. The very first model of the series, the Atari 520ST entered the market in 1985. Alongside with other competitors, such as Amiga, Macintosh, Acorn Archimedes the ST family featured 16- and 32-bit processors (thus named ST for Sixteen/Thirty-two). The Atari STacy is a portable computer version of the family.
After the discontinuation of this family of personal computers, the Atari TT and Falcon families followed.
