The famous toy company, Coleco Industries, after the grand success of the ColecoVision video game console released the Coleco Adam. With the launch of this home computer, Coleco attempted to continue the production and marketing of computer and consoles. Back at that time, there was a big marketing campaign for the Adam model as well. Consumers’ hype evaporated after the delay of shipping.

With a series of unfulfilled promises, unmet expectations and delays the series discontinued. A few years later, the company also announced the cease of production and closure of the corporation due to bankruptcy.

That was just a snapshot on the presentation of the techmuseum series. Indulge more into the history. Continue reading more about the present model, the Coleco Adam here. Alternatively, continue reading more. Find more exciting stories here.
