The Motorola A1200 features a GSM Network connection without antenna, but including Wifi and Bluetooth. The operating system was the manufacturer’s and was equipped with color display and polyphonic sound.
The Motorola A series of mobile phones merge functionality with innovative technology. They combine both features of a phone and a personal digital assistant (PDA), equipped with multimedia, camera even GPS! The first model of the family introduced the Symbian OS initiative for mobiles competing against Linux or Windows Mobile. Notable models that run the Linux operating system though are the A760 and the A 1200 as well. The A760, marked, indeed, the beginning of the use of Linux on mobile phones.
Newer models on the series presented a better camera and larger screen with better pixels display, as well as higher memory card. Among the enhanced features is Bluetooth 2.0 for better connectivity and improved battery life.
