The Motorola Backflip features a GSM Network connection without antenna, but with Wifi and Bluetooth. The operating system was the Android 1.5 version and was equipped with color display and polyphonic sound.
In some regions the Motorola Backflip ’s alternative name is Motorola Motus. The touchscreen smartphone has built-in Motoblur on the Android platform 1.5.Equipped with a QWERTY keypad has a reverse flip design, so as with the device closed the reverse to the screen side has the keypad itself.
The production of the Motorola Backflip started in 2010. In 2011, Motorola split into two companies. Motorola Solutions concentrates on police technologies and radio communications, while Motorola Mobility, as a spin-off, would be the mobile handset producer. On the same year Google purchased Motorola Mobility, only to sell the shares to Lenovo 3 years later, while maintaining ownership of the patents.
