The Motorola M3888 features a GSM Network connection with antenna, but no Wifi or Bluetooth. The operating system was the manufacturer’s and was equipped with monochromic display and monophonic sound.
Models from the Motorola M series offered high reliability and functionality. Consumers always praised this family of phone for the battery autonomy and speed, promoting an overall positive impression. For the present model, the removable NiMH 700mAh battery supports 230mins of talk time and 110 hours standby. The device also supported 26 languages! The screen resolution might not be the best, with 2 lines of 12 characters each for the display, but had fixed icons.
The production of the Motorola M3888 began on the turn of the century. To note, in 2011, Motorola split into two companies. Motorola Solutions concentrates on police technologies and radio communications, while Motorola Mobility, as a spin-off, would be the mobile handset producer. On the same year Google purchased Motorola Mobility, only to sell the shares to Lenovo 3 years later, while maintaining ownership of the patents.
