The Sega SC3000H had a NEC D780C-1 processor at 3.58 MHz and memory of 2 up to 32kB. It ran with the operating system of the BASIC version.
Sega Corporation, the Japanese entertainment company, originally was involved in the coin operated games division. With the downturn of the arcade business in the 1980s, the company slowly entered the personal computer as well. During these times, other divisions were flourishing and companies were competing in the race.
Sega entered the share market with the SG-1000 home video game console series. Prime rival was the Nintendo Family Computer counterpart. Products from the family of game consoles, including Sega Mark III and SC-3000H, presented improvements by generation.
