The model has a TMS 9900 processor at 3.3 MHz and memory of 16kB. It ran with the operating system of the TI BASIC version.
Texas Instruments, founded in 1930, always has been a company involved in various divisions. These include pocket computers, calculators, semiconductors, integrated circuits, processors etc. Up until today, the company holds a top position in semiconductor and processor production and distribution, calculating 80% of annual revenue.
In the past, Texas Instruments also produced equipment for the seismic industry, transistors and made great inventions. Some of them include the integrated circuit, in 1958, the hand held calculator, in 1967, and the digital light processing device back in 1987.
Especially after entering the home computer market he evolved in a strong rival to companies such as Apple, Tandy, Atari and many more.
