Tulip Computers, a Dutch computer company, manufactured series of personal computers clones. By that meant that these models had software compatibility, as long as some similar features with the prototype cloned, the IBM PC. Of course IBM sued the company and ended the litigation at court. Changing divisions, Tulip Comp. acquired the brand name of Commodore in late 1990s and shares of the games market.

A notable best-selling personal computer developed by the company was the Tulip System 1. It was one of the first 16-bit computers to enter the market.

That was just a snapshot on the presentation of the techmuseum series. Indulge more into the history. Continue reading more about the present model, the Tulip System I here. Alternatively, find more exciting stories like this one here.
