
Safety codes in everyday life for 2021 | Generating strong passwords
Nordpass researchers revealed the most frequent and less secure passwords for 2021. The survey was conducted in 50 countries worldwide.
Users seem to love easy passwords and especially those that consist only of numbers or letters.
In detail, within the Top 3, are the following codes:
- 123456
- 123456789
- Qwerty
The staggering majority of users prefer such simple passwords, using just their name or significant date.
There are many, however, who prefer instead of a name to use insults or names of animals with the “dolphin” being the No. 1 choice. But there are also those who prefer their favorite team or surname.
All of the above passwords have been judged low security codes as they can be easily hacked.
Did you already know that you can generate a secure password online? That is especially suitable for all those uninspired ones creating passwords with sensitive information details, such as names, dates and relatable data.
It is very important to note that a secure password must include letters, numbers and special characters as well. Combinations must not be predictable, easily guessed. Furthermore, passwords should not be common to all accounts (bank accounts, email, signin etc) but unique in every case. Unfortunately, this can be very overwhelming for a lot of people that cannot memorise combinations easily, but it’s the most failproof way to maintain security.
