Societies of the future | The Municipalities 2025 Program
With funds from the New NSRF (2021-2027), the government will finance municipalities across the country. The aim of the program is to reduce bureaucracy and improve the daily lives of citizens. It would improve the quality of life for citizens by upgrading infrastructure, promoting sustainable development, and increasing the efficiency of municipal services.
The program focuses on several key areas, including the improvement of public spaces, the development of green infrastructure, and the promotion of energy efficiency. It also includes measures to support the development of local economies and the creation of new jobs.
The program “Municipalities 2025″‘s presentation took place at the KEDE conference and the Beyond 2021 exhibition, in Thessaloniki. The selected actions will be about 30-35 and their list will be formulated in cooperation with KEDE.
One of the main goals of the KEDE program is to promote the participation of citizens in the decision-making process. It would also encourage their active involvement in the development of their communities. To this end, the program includes measures to support the formation of citizen committees and the organization of public consultations.
The KEDE program will have a positive impact on the overall quality of life in municipalities across Greece, and to contribute to the country’s economic recovery and sustainable development.
