Samsung HMD Odyssey | New VR Headset introduced
Samsung has been a name people have come to associate with VR technology, but this is a relatively new venture for the company. The South Korean manufacturer released a new VR headset today called the Samsung HMD Odyssey, and it’s designed specifically for PCs.
Mixed Reality is Windows’ virtual reality solution, designed to be both accessible and cost-effective. All available helmets meet the same standards and have the same support for games. Does your PC meet requirements for Mixed Reality?
The Odyssey is the best helmet for Mixed Reality so far, and as such is the most expensive. It has two 3.5-inch AMOLED displays that have a resolution of 1600 x 1440 pixels at 110° viewing angle. In the package you’ll find wireless remote controllers made by Microsoft. The Odyssey 3D printer will be released the day after next for US$499. That is a hefty price tag, don’t you agree?
