On this TECHDAY in history, on June 16th 1903, the Ford Motors company was incorporated by Henry Ford. The American multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. Nowadays, it is one of the most famous corporations in the world. Ford was a pioneer in manufacturing-methods for cars and large-scale management of an industrial workforce.
The production processes involved with early automation were elaborate, with moving assembly lines at each step. The company was the first to introduce large scale manufacturing of cars in an elaborate industrial sequence, typified by moving assembly lines.
Fun fact, Fords sells under various brands, such as Lincoln luxury brand. Furthermore, it owns various subsidiaries like Troller and maintain shares of known brands such as Aston Martin and Jiangling. Today, it is the fifth largest car manufacturer in the world. General Motors has top position, followed by Toyota, Volkswagen and Hyundai.
