First Bitcoin Mining | Genesis Block by Satoshi Nakamoto | Techday, January 3rd
On this TECHDAY in history, on January 3rd 2009, the first Bitcoin mining was marked! The pseudonymous Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first 50 bitcoins, now known as the Genesis Block, six days before the initial release of the bitcoin software and launch of the cryptocurrency network. The mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto is considered the founder of Bitcoin and the initial creator of the Original Bitcoin client.
Satoshi Nakamoto is, actually a pseudonym. His true identity is, still, unknown and claimed by many people. Generating the Genesis Block, he deployed the original reference implementation. The assumed author of the bitcoin white paper, also created the first blockchain database. It is a public distributed ledger recording nodes, transactions through cryptography. The cryptocurrency of bitcoin commenced when the implementation was released as an open source software. Amazing!
