Free Courses on New Technologies

COSMOTE with the free program “Technology for All” offers the opportunity for even more older people to become familiar with new technologies and digital media. The courses start in May in Attica and Thessaloniki.

Through the courses of the program, older people with no previous experience learn to use tablets and touch technologies, to navigate the internet, to use social media for communication, to make use of various applications such as Google Maps, Notes, email, thus making their everyday life better and easier.

COSMOTE has been strengthening the digital skills of older people for seven years through sustainable development actions. To date, more than 11,000 people have been trained.

The scientific curator of the “Technology for All” program is Dr. Dimitris Kamanaros, Psychologist-Gerontologist. The training provider is OTE Academy, while the telephone service is provided by COSMOTE e-Value.

OTE Academy

The courses take place at OTEAcademy’s facilities (Maroussi & Thessaloniki) and at the “Open Schools” of the Municipality of Athens (Pagrati, Petralona, Ambelokipi). Those interested in the programme can call 210 6249300 (Attica) and 2310 361154 (Thessaloniki), from Monday to Friday 09:00 – 21:00.

The technological equipment of the programme (tablet) is provided by LENOVO. The Open Schools program of the municipality of Athens is implemented. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation is the founding donor, the Athens Partnership the coordinator and the Ioannis S. Latsis Charitable Foundation the action supporter.
