Dubai’s innovation

According to reports, Dubai will soon be testing out robots in the field of Law Enforcement. One such robot is going to patrol malls and tourist attractions while another one will teach people how to waltz. The humanoid police officer’s name, unveiled in Dubai by Pal Robotics, isΒ  Reem, as the company’s R2 project.

The future AI device communicates in different languages. It will also be able to speak Arabic and English in order to best serve the guests, for Dubai. In the future he’ll be speaking a lot more foreign languages in order for him to communicate with Dubai’s many international visitors.

The final version of the android phone includes touch-screen technology & sensors. They will allow users to interact with a robot programmed by data collected from the government. This new device will help link government statistics and platform in ways never done before. People will be able to update their biometrics in real time through the robot’s interface.

Should we incorporate robots into policing, as the Dubai government plans? It is important to give people reassuring reasons that they shouldn’t worry. There aren’t any valid reasons to fear a robot police officer. They should help, not harm you. The police force across the world is using robotics to improve and increase efficiency. In Dubai, they will use the robots to aid them in effectively policing a safer city. Officers will be free to focus on other tasks that are crucial.

Japanese counterpart

Researchers in Japan have created a new robot that can teach dance classes, according to New Scientist. This robot is able to personalize its teaching to the user’s skills and levels, allowing you to learn effectively. The robotic dance teacher is programmed to move on small wheels in the same way dancers do, now it uses sensors and lasers to understand the movements of a human partner and coordinate with them.

A study with volunteers showed that five out of six improved their waltz in just one month. It was made official at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Singapore last month.
