Faster mobile charging trick
Most people who make constant use of their smartphone in everyday life want it to charge faster.
That is why you can adjust your phone in airplane mode for a faster charge. The trick works and the mode no longer slows down charging. It doesn’t consume any power for connectivity, geolocation and more. Even major mobile phone providers recommend it (Verizon). The logic behind this is rather simple. While in airplane mode the mobile phone consumes less energy and thus charges faster. But, the next question to arise relates to the amount of energy required. Airplane mode disables all communication protocols for the phone and blocks, in a way, the constant search for connection to Wifi and cellular networks. It is useful to note at this point that even Bluetooth is a communication protocol that requires battery usage.
A study conducted by CNET estimated that turning airplane mode on saved just 4 minutes on a full 2 hour charge, and 11 in a subsequent test. Whether it’s really worth it to lose the connectivity of your smartphone while on airplane mode is debatable.
