Blockchain division for Facebook
Mark Zuckerberg is the CEO of Facebook and has been at the helm of some big changes within the company. It was a major success when he made the shift in management structure.
Facebook is also investing in blockchain technology for the first time, implementing a new department to cater to cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Facebook underwent a restructuring plan by making upper management changes and the CEO Zuckerberg showed no change in his duties or involvement during the decision-making process. Reuters reports that this is according to official documents.
After the reorganization, Facebook’s three major management units will be: the first is made up of its core products, the second will include its emerging technologies, and the third is made up of advertising, personnel management and security. The heads of the three departments are Chris Cox, Mike Schreffer, and Javier Olivan. The company is declining to provide any further information either in regards to its recent management changes or what their blockchain division.
