Face ID feature unlocks phone
Apple officially launched an update of the iOS operating system, in version 15.4 for iPhone devices, which among other things is able to “unlock” the device even when the owner is wearing a protective mask.
This is the company’s first major software update for 2022. In June, the launch of iOS 16 is expected. In addition to the mask recognition feature, the new version incorporates new emojis. A service also that allows owners to accept card payments directly, without adding any other equipment. It should be noted that the unlock function, Face ID, combined with the use of a mask will be able to be used to identify the user. That is in conjunction with the Apple Pay payment service, for iPhone 12 and newer devices.
The digital assistant Siri has gained a new voice as well as the ability to accept simple questions even when the device is offline. Universal Control, a feature that allows users to drag-and-drop files between an iPad and a Mac, is also integrated. 4 also features SharePlay, which allows for quick sharing of songs and other content via FaceTime.
If you want to use the new feature follow these steps:
- Install iOS 15.4.
- Open the Face ID feature and enter the appropriate passwords
- Select to enable Face ID with a Mask Scan your face (no need to wear a mask in the associated scan)
