The Kids’ apps, controlled by the parent’s Facebook account, are becoming more popular on tablets. Facebook has created a new safe Messenger app with strict regulations in place. It can ensure parents or guardians can check in on children. Messenger Kids is this new app suitable for children carrying many features. It has the ability to send text messages, videos, and photos without worry of exposure. This app will allow parents to use the same well-known app. The application though will possess additional features and controls included for their children. It also includes appropriate filters to ensure the children’s safety. Exporuse to inappropriate content containing violence, nude images, sex, etc is something they aim to avoid.
Parents can control and approve their kids’ friends and contacts. While parents need to approve friendship requests, it is important for children to know that any messages sent end up on their parents’ Facebook messenger app. There are also levels of privacy that can be set so that certain people only see certain information from you.
Facebook developed the new application in collaboration with psychologists, who worked closely together with parents of children to see how they could best use this app to strengthen their ties and make the child’s childhood a little more fun. But some parents remain reluctant to embrace this technology, as it is not certain that all parents will see it in an equally positive light
Facebook has made a commitment that Messenger Kids will not contain any ads or solicitations for purchases, as they have promised to provide a non-commercial experience to the children.
Facebook will not know the exact age of any Messenger Kids users. They might also recommend either migrating to a different platform or dropping off after they pass a certain age. If a kid is 13 or older and wishes to become a Facebook user, they’ll have to create an entirely new account with Messenger Kids’ data andhistory on that account only. The new app will be available in the US. Eventually, it will be released in other countries and more devices.
