The Didaktik M has a Zilog Z80A processor at 4 MHz and memory of 64kB. It ran with the operating system of BASIC version.
Didaktik was an 8-bit computer series produced in former Czechoslovakia. They were clones with famous Intel 8080 and Zilog Z80 processors producing mainly during the 1980s. Later models were clones to the dominant ZX Spectrum. Unfortunately, not all models were successful. Not every model released presented features of improvement in comparison the older one.
Due to the Pact in the Eastern Bloc, socialist countries banned foreign imports. In an act to promote autonomy and local production, factories produced computer lines in smaller quantities for distribution within.
The hardware locally produced and the rugged simpler software raised the price tag for the computer models, thus making them unapproachable for home users. These computers were deployed to government institutions and schools.
