The CCE MC 1000 features a Zilog Z80 processor at 3.57 MHz and memory of 16kB. It ran with the operating system of the BASIC version.
Comércio de Componentes Eletrônicos (CCE) produced and marketed, like other Brazilian companies at that time during the 1980s, clones from foreign computers. There was no Brazilian law that prohibited the cloning and thus manufacturers with limited local production released computers based on other companies. Prototypes of the clones usually were the Apple II, Commodore and ZX-80 among others.
The country has barred foreign imports supporting the local production. Brazilian manufacturers had available electronic parts and hardware in fewer amount and lower quality. All computers featured similar elements with no notable exceptions.
