The Sony Ericsson T230 features a GSM Network connection without antenna nor Wifi or Bluetooth. The operating system was the manufacturer’s and was equipped with color display and polyphonic sound.
The Sony Ericsson T Series was greatly heterogenic. Older models had a protruding antenna and a flipping keypad to hide the keyboard, while newer models like the T707 had a clamshell form factor and were more fashionable. There was not a common form factor for the whole series.
The Sony Mobile Communications Inc. was a Japanese joint venture between Sony Group Corporation and Swedish Ericsson founded in 2001. 2007 marked the peak of the company with the shares occupying 9% of the global mobile phone market holding fourth place in the classification of manufacturers.
