The Triumph Alphatronic PC features a Zilog Z80 processor at 4 MHz and memory of 64kB. It ran with the operating system of the CP/M 2.2 version.
Triumph and Adler were two companies that merged during the 1930s. The joint structure of Triumph-Adler remained in the same business division. Except from computer systems, they produced mechanical calculators and sewing machines as well. Triumph maintained a notable position in the motorcycle market as well. After they parted ways, daughter company subsidiary of Triumph continued the lineage of motorcycle production. In 2010, Kyocera acquired ownership of joint Triumph-Adler. Under the trademark distributed printers and software to the EMEA region (Europe-Middle East-Africa).
The computer brand line never sold very well, because it was too expensive for the budget of home users. Even as a hybrid business model, the Alphatronic in particular, didn’t maintain a strong sales share.
