The Samsung SPC-1000 features a Z80A processor at 4MHz and memory of 64kB. It ran with the operating system of the CP/M version. The unit included the monitor, keyboard, built-in recorder, but could connect more.
Samsung designed, manufactured and marketed their first personal computer in 1983, the crucial years when companies like Atari, Sharp, Casio IBM shared their technological innovations with the world. This pioneer computer for Samsung was the SPC-1000, aimed mainly for the education.
The South Korean multinational tech giant has played in important role on innovation in technology, always putting pressure to rivals. By revenue, it is considered as the world’s second largest technology company and in the mobile phone market the first one with Apple following behind. Apart from the mobile phones division, the company also produces tablets, hardware (semiconductors, hard drives), televisions, printers, speakers, home appliances, smart watches etc.
